Tools for mass production

Nugent Patterns is primarily a pattern shop. The company began in 1982, making wood and plastic patterns for sand foundries. The shop gradually changed from wood to mostly metalworking. We now frequently make metal wax injection molds for the investment casting (lost-wax) industry. Other production tools we make include coining dies, machining fixtures, and computer models for CNC machining.

We use traditional patternmaking methods as well as state-of-the-art CAD/CAM programming and 3-axis milling to make our tools. We have our own small prototype foundry, two 3-axis CNC mills, three 3D manual pantograph/die-sinking machines, a manual lathe, and TIG and gas welding equipment.

We can work from 2D or 3D CAD files, paper drawings, sketches, ideas, or existing parts.

If your project requires a small quantity of unique finished pieces, we can supply everything needed from initial design to installation. For large production quantities, we can provide the molds, tools, dies, or patterns for an outside manufacturer to use.
